July 2014

Hello,

Early July Fishing Report:

The winds have backed off and the fishing is back to VERY GOOD.

Esperanza Inlet – The Highway is “ON FIRE” with lots of 18-28lb Springs & 25- 45lb Halibut. The Pins and “T” are particularly productive. Ferrer Pt. Pin Rks. & Low Rk. are also doing well for those who do not wish to go offshore.

Nootka Sound – Burdwood, the Lighthouse & Wash Rk. are all holding lots of Coho & Springs. Beano Creek, Maquinna Rks. & Bajo Reef are the Hot Spots on the south end.

There are definitely more Salmon around, than there usually is this early in July. They are everywhere especially at the mouths of the inlets and offshore.

The wave of Tyee Chinooks should be here by Mid-July. Sharpen your hooks.

See You Soon.
