Yes, to add to ALL that GOOD stuff, the significant spawn of squid is occurring from Beano Creek in Nootka all the way up to Grassy Is. In upper Esperanza.

“While trolling the bottom from outer Black Rock just off Esperanza inlet to Blind Reef. You never know what you will hook up with” This trip yelled 6 Lingcod 8-43lb, 18lb Spring/King/Chinook & a 52lb Halibut.

Lingcod are very abundant in our area & delicious!

“Mr Cool” Ray Chittenden with his 125.5cm, 65lb Halibut caught at the Red Can Just off Esperanza Inlet

“Dad Is Starting them Young & they Liked it” Limits of Halibut are a daily norm at Westview. These Halibut were caught on a pinnacle just 2 miles off Ferrer Point. The Halibut boated match the fisher, Dad caught the 126cm thick 79lb slab.

Bob won the bet with Fred by boating this 68lb Halibut/ 124.5cm. Fred is sure his 41lb Halibut will taste BETTER!!! Both fish along with a few lingcod were caught near Tatchu Pt.

Ken McRae from Surry BC wins the purse in the McMath fishing derby last wk with a 27.5lb Chinook Caught at the world famous Ferrer Point as well as this 50lb Halibut.
