EARLY AUGUST FISHING REPORT. ALL GOOD!!!

The Chinook have moved inside “BIG TIME” both in Esperanza Inlet and Nootka Sound.

HOT SPOTS:

ESPERANZA - Ferrer Point, Pin Rocks, in front Catala Is. Chinook & Coho have moved all the way in from Rosa Harbour to past Ceepeecee.

CEEPEECEE - Best bets inside/inside are Salty Bay, along the wall in Between Esperanza Mission & Ceepeecee. The wall from Mozino PT. on the south side westward is HOT in the evenings 15-25lbs, 19lb on average and lots of Coho.

NOOTKA - Chinook only at this time Hoiss Pt., Coopte Pt., Salter Pt. Camel Rk., Burdwood, San Carlos and ALL points west until you get to the under 77cm only Area. Coho expected SOON!!!

Pagie The Fisher Girl and her 34lbs Chinook!! With a little help from Grandpa Cecil B.	David Gogo, "the Canadian National Guitarist of the year and Juno Nominee preformed here for ROCK THE DOCK on July 25th" and son Lincoln with their limts of Chinook and Halibut!	Mac Easton, with his father (not in photo) and friend with their limits of Halibut, and proof that government workers can have soles!

A very nice Tyee (30+ pound Chinook)	The Stonedahls with their limits on Chinook, Coho, Lingcod, Halibut and some Rock Fish.	The California Boyz with 2 Halibut, 2 Lincod, and 2 Yellow Eye. A real 2 for day!.

Ladies day to catch fish (Elizabeth Easton and Friend)	Some of our staff with their 20+ pound Chinook, not bad for their first time fishing the West Coast	Matt Booth, our fanatical fisherman on staff with his father and their 2 20+ pound Chinook!

The 11^th Annual-WESTVIEW MARINA & LODGE SALMON ENHANCEMENT FISHING DERBY will be held on Fri. & Sat. August 22^nd & 23^rd

Last year was an all-time high in fund raising $29,782.13. Over the last 10yrs we have raised over $150,000 for salmon enhancement.

Friday night there will be Live Entertainment on the dock & an all you can eat Large Buffet for $15. Saturday evening will be the Awards Banquet with Live Music & Dinner. Dinner Saturday, derby hat, a bag of tackle, plus everybody wins a prize is all included in your derby ticket = $60 ea.
