Yes Albacore Tuna are here annually. They strike and fight like no others fish caught in our area. Plus they are Delicious!

Westview Marina & Lodge will be offering TWO types of Tuna Adventure Trips.

The 1^st is a Self-Guided Group Adventure:

Details- There will be an advance sign up. $100 per boat, sign up will entitle each person to the following:

Every Thursday starting on August 7th at 6pm there will a seminar on the techniques on how, where & what you need to catch these powerful fish. These seminars will run weekly until Sept. 18
Each seminar will be held in a reserved area at the Marina on the patio deck. It will last approx. one hr. & will involve one complementary beverage of your choice, for each captian and crew (up to 4 per boat).
Charts and GPS heading will be distributed and discussed. A Question & Answer period will be an important part of our time together.
Each Friday morning we will leave the Marina at approx. 6am as a group. There will be at least one Westview Marina Large experienced Guide Boat leading the way (if you choose to follow).
The Marina Guide boat will have two (2) Professional Guides on board and up to four paid charter fishers. Why 2 Guides? When you are trolling at 7.5 to 10 mph & the fish swim at 20 to 30 mph it takes a person on the wheel to actively stay on the fish & a second person to set & work the gear. This is not salmon fishing the pace is 2 to 3 time faster and way more EXCITING!!
We will have VHF radio channel chosen for each trip.
When we get to the Tuna Grounds we will fan out in an agreed upon search pattern. Each boat will receive the info. At the seminar as to the conditions which will have Tuna FEEDING.
We will find the tuna, Radio GPS # to our TEAM and move in on the typical huge schools of Albacore.
Every boat will catch Tuna as long as they stick to the plan & listen to their Radio. Yes it’s a huge ocean out there, but with proper planning, preparation & help from people like us who have been there & done it before, We all will have a Successful, Fun & Productive Tuna Adventure!

Typical Questions:

1) What if the weather rears up & we are unable to go outside? Answer- you will have gained enough knowledge that on the next calm days in August & early September you will be out there catching Tuna. Also any boat that has signed up for & participated in any Thursday seminar is welcome to go out with the team on any & all Fridays thereafter. The final part of the answer is, on those ruff water days, you go fish salmon or other species where you are comfortable with the water.

2) What type of equipment & tackle do you need for these muscular fish? Answer: once you & your crew are signed up you will be put on a special “Tuna Tuna” email list. You will receive plenty of preseason info. to get ready for a fishing trip you will not soon forget.

The 2^nd Tuna Adventure is a fully Guided Tuna Fishing Trip “A” & “B”

Details on “A”-Each Friday starting August 8 through September 19 we will have at least one large Guided vessel head out to the Tuna grounds. $1900 for 4 people taxes included or $475 per person taxes included (this is a 4 person package price)
All reservations must be booked and paid for by March 1^st 2014

Details on “B” Everything that “A” has Plus

TWO Night Premium Lodging – the night before & after fishing
All Meals - Dinner the day of arrival out on the patio dock or inside at the waterside Marina Grillhouse Restaurant, 3 meals on fishing day & breakfast on departure day. Note all meal are off a menu of your individual choosing
No buying, packing, prepping, cooking, cleaning up & packing back All that extra food you bought- IT`S A NO BRAINER. Plus you have nice place to stay before & after the Tuna Trip most have Hot Tubs or Saunas. Make your reservation SOON!
