A fine pair of Halibut

Warren Petersen shows off his 21 and 38 lb Hlaibut

Guide Carl Petersen took out his Mom, Dad (Warren) and Aunt fishing in Tahsis on the 'Feeder Spring'. Warren ended up catching the two halibut along with some other bottom fish.

When asked where he caught the fish, he pointed at his mouth and said 'in the mouth'. When asked how he caught them, he pointed at his head and said "By using my head".

There you have it folks.. a foolproof formula for catching Halibut in Tahsis.

Dustin Embrey and friends may have gone out on the 'Chinook Seeker', but they came back with a fine mess of 18 to 22 foot Halibut.. they will be set up for great Fish & Chips for a while...
